  1. Great new blog! Love seeing Tiny Baby and Big Boy at the top – and have resubscribed in my Google Reader!

  2. Welcome to WordPress! You’ll love it. Your site looks great – boys look adorable.

  3. Congrats on the new domain name — and site. we will be sure to change our blog roll over at MoB! Looking forward to the same great stuff on an updated page.

  4. Congrats on the new domain. I love the way wordpress blogs look, but I’m html illiterate and couldn’t figure out how to do the things I wanted to do. Yours looks great!

    • Thanks, Jana. I will say that I find Blogger’s platform easier to use, but two issues helped me decide to switch to WordPress: the fact that some of my readers were having trouble with the comment function on my Blogger site, and the ability in WP to apply to comments in a nested way. (Like this – I love it!) I’m still trying to figure out many of the features, but, for me, this whole foray into the blogosphere has been a study in continuing education.

I’ve really been enjoying your blog. I hope many of my readers will go check out An Attitude Adjustment .

  5. You did it! Congrats! The new site looks terrific and I love the header picture.

  6. Kristen, it looks beautiful here! Great photo. I just added you to my reader, cuz I would never want to miss a single word!
    Congrats.

  7. Looks great! I have been considered making the jump. The thing I really want is nested comments and I keep hoping blogger will switch to it.

    • Charlotte, I hope that Blogger will make the switch too. Aside from some issues with the comment features, I was very happy with my experience there.

Should you ever decide to jump to WP, I will say that their import feature makes it very easy. There are a few manual fixes that have to be done, but they weren’t too time-consuming for me since my blog is relatively new.

  8. Yay! Congrats, Kristen – you deserve it!

  9. Congrats on the new digs! Adorable photos in your header.

  10. My only question is, can I finally leave a comment on your lovely blog? It looks as if the answer is YES!

  11. Congratulations! It looks great. I will of course continue reading and have updated my feed! Planning on making the same switch as soon as I can carve out the time to get it done. Enjoy.

  12. Looks great, Kristen! You’ll be happy you made the switch. In fact, you probably already are (we’ll update you on our blogroll, too).

  13. Love the new look. More streamlined since you do have a lot going on here. All good stuff! I love the email subscription feature. When I am at work, it is so much easier to read emails than visit a blog. ;-)

    • Thanks so much for stopping by. And that’s a great – and helpful – point about e-mail subscriptions being easier for some during the workday.

By the way, a comment you left on one of my posts last month helped inspire the post I’m working on for tomorrow. Stay tuned!

  14. Congrats, Kristen! Diggin’ the new digs. Let me know how it works out. I am thinking of relocating, or at the very least, redecorating for my 1st blog birthday as well!

  15. happy new place – very nice and hospitable for visitors :)

  16. Lovely! Thanks for the welcome mat (and welcome to WordPress!). Looks like I and beaucoups of other readers will be updating blogrolls shortly and happily.

  17. Looks great! (Headed to tweak that URL in my blogroll.)

  18. Yay! Welcome home, lady :)

  19. I love your new home! Welcome to WordPress!

  20. Housewarming wishes… I guess wordpress means we now blog in the same neighborhood.

  21. I am digging the Frank Gehry-esque building in your photo.

    Congrats on the move!

  22. Congrats! The site looks great, I love the banner. I’ve wanted to switch my blog from Typepad for a while now, but I am terrified! (I’m pretty html illiterate.)

  23. Looking great! I’ve subscribed to those posts! Can’t wait to read more!

  24. Hi Kristen,
Welcome to your new home. I agree, that is awesome that you can reply to each comment individually. I always look like a lunatic on mine, posting five replies in a row! But for me a really big change would be to alter my template. I’m thinking about it! And thanks for putting me on your blogroll. I appreciate it! I’m updating mine now.

    • Thanks, Linda. Yes, there are so many possibilities: templates, fonts, layouts, hosting, domain names. I guess I should have considered some computer science courses in college…then again, they’d be far out of date by now!

  25. I haven’t made my blogroll yet…ugh. But, I have changed your address in my reader!!

I love this new site!! Perhaps when I’m ready for my own domain I could ask you for some advice? : )

  26. Hello! Welcome to the word press family! Your header is so sweet!

  27. Fantastic! Welcome to WP! You look great here. Off to fix your URL in my blogroll
